Blush Novelties Audre Review
By Carnal Queen.
I was really pleased when Blush reached out to me and asked me if I’d like to review for them. Of course I eagerly said yes, and they sent me some links asking me to make some selections. I’ll be honest, my choice of vibrator was sadly out of stock, so they sent me the Audre for review. Up until then, the Audre hadn’t been in my sight or in my thoughts, but I was more than happy to give it a thorough road test, and see what it could offer me!
Blush have been on my radar for a very long time, they make this awesome butt plug that I’ve been dying to get my hands, and my ass on, for a very long time, and I love love LOVE, the new naughtier version that says ‘Fuck Me”. They’re currently not stocked massively in the UK, but I have a feeling that will change over the coming months, as they certainly seem to produce some good products, at reasonable prices. This toy even comes with a 5 year warranty, which is pretty much a rarity in the sex toy industry, so you’ve got peace of mind from the outset.
The Audre arrives tastefully housed in black and pink packaging. It’s part of their Vilain line, which means ‘naughty’ in French. It boasts seven speeds, is silicone and fully waterproof, relatively quiet, and is USB rechargeable. Mine arrived with a US plug, but it happily charges away in my UK USB adaptors, so no bother there. A full charge takes two hours, and this gives you around 50 minutes of play.
SQUISHY!!! Seriously, I was expecting a rigid G-Spot style vibrator, but this thing has so much flex and squish to it, it really shocked me, because I wasn’t expecting it at all. It’s so easy to bend and straighten, and thankfully it doesn’t feel like you’re going to do it some kind of horrific injury if you do move it around. The charging port is located on the base of the toy in a hideously shiny plastic oval cap … just why? I really dislike faux metal bits on silicone toys, and the finish around the edges isn’t exactly brilliant on this. It’s no real issue, because I’m not planning to ever insert it that far, but a silicone, self healing charging port would’ve been so much better! Some people may find it a little bit tricky to open the silicone tab, but there is a tiny tag on the top of it, that you just pull. You need to ensure this is firmly shut, for the toy to remain waterproof.
It’s a simple two button operation, so you won’t need to worry about consulting instructions to know what you’re doing. A button to turn it on and off, and another to cycle through the seven settings. There’s three constant modes, and four patterns, and they’re all pretty rumbly and deep. A couple of them seem a little buzzy when you first turn them on, but because the Audre is so soft and pliable, when push it into or on to your body, it forces the vibrations to penetrate the tissue really well, which is a really welcome bonus for me. It’s around 7 inches in length, with about 5 inches being insertable, and at the largest point, it has a circumference of 4.75 inches.
The Audre really has surprised me to be honest, and I’ll happily admit that I’m a little bit in love with it. The winning factor for me is that flex, I really love to push toys hard into me, and grind against them, especially for clit play, and I can really go to town with Audre and it feels incredible. Internally, it feels pretty darn awesome too. The gentle curve naturally seeks out my G-Spot, and the lovely rumbly vibrations force my sweet spot to submit to them. It’s not a really hard hitting toy in terms of pressure, because it gives under the strain as you push against it, but the orgasms are delicious and satisfying for me anyway.
My only gripe with the Audre is the battery life, it makes me kinda sad. 50 minutes is a little bit under par anyway, but I’ve found I’m getting 40-45 minutes at most. I’m happy to keep it charged up and ready to go, but sometimes I like a long, slow session, and 45 minutes just doesn’t cut it. The same goes when we’re using it during sex, I’m constantly concerned that it’s going to conk out and disappoint me, mid session, so I need to be sure to have something to hand, ready to take over if Audre dies. I’m sure I don’t need to point out that I’m not short of toys to choose from, but that’s not the point. If it had a 60-90 run time, I’d be ecstatic!
I’m now quite glad that my first choice was out of stock, because otherwise I may never have tried the lovely Audre. I’m certainly even more intrigued about other products in the Blush line-up now, after such a happy introduction, and I’d really love to try one of their dual density dildos next, as well as that bloody gorgeous butt plug. If they all give me amazing orgasms like Audre does, I’ll be one happy Queen!
