Swan Wand Review
By Carnal Queen.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a Swan Wand!
So, what are you looking for in a quality sex toy? Do you want a clit vibe? How about a body massager? Maybe something to stimulate your G-SPot? Frenulum? Perineum? Heck, the Swan Wand by BMS factory is all of those things and a whole lot more! Seriously, in short, this thing has blown me away, and if you’re just a tiny bit interested in what it could do for you, just bloody buy one!
I’ve wanted a cordless, waterproof wand for a while, but to be perfectly honest, I wanted something powerful, something that wouldn’t disappoint me and leave me reaching for my mains powered wands in desperation. The choice available and the vast differences in quality and strength of vibration can be a little overwhelming, there’s so much to choose from, and that ultimately led me nowhere, I just couldn’t decide which to get. To be honest, the Swan Wand probably wouldn’t even have made it on to my list of contenders, because it’s not the traditional wand shape that I’ve come to know and love. It looks more like a generic vibrator, and the fact that it’s powered by two ‘Powerbullet’ motors might have put me off a little bit – The power and strength I love in a wand isn’t something I’d ever associate with a ‘bullet’ of any description! Anyway, I was hearing really good things about the Swan Wand, so when Lovehoney asked me to test and review one, I was all over it like a car bonnet!
I won’t bore you all by going into huge detail about the packaging, all you need to know is that it arrives in a lovely sturdy keepsake box, it has a branded storage bag (woo hoo!) and the usb charging cable has a little Swan tag on – Now this might not sound like a big deal, but if you have as many sex toy chargers as I have, you’ll love this little detail! I wish all manufacturers did this, it saves me having to label them all up!
The wand is virtually seamless and covered in 100% silicone. It’s totally body-safe, fully waterproof, dual motored (which are controlled independently) and it really is lovely! Weighing 344 grams it feels substantial in the hand, but it’s not awkward to hold or use. Tip to tip, not incorporating the curve, the Swan is about 9.2 inches long, with the curve, it’s about 10.5 inches. The smaller end is approx 5 inches in girth, and the larger end is just over 6.5 inches. It’s controlled by two simple push buttons, which are located in the centre of the wand. A press of a button sends that particular side’s motor purring into life. There are 7 settings, low, medium and high constant, and four patterns. You can also press and hold the button, which sends the motor on an increasing scale, allowing you to stop it at a constant level which is perfect for you, nice touch! Each end works the same way and has the same options, you can have one or both on, at the same levels or different, the choice is entirely yours to create your own customised experience! The charging port is on the underside of the wand in the centre, and you get a lot of play from one 4 hour charge – up to 8.5 hours!
The first thing we used this for was a body massage – it’s absolutely heavenly! Using both motors means you can have a sort of ‘double’ headed massage, so you enjoy stimulation from both ends simultaneous. The power from this is really deep and rumbly, and it lends itself to tissue massage really well. As a clitoral vibrator it’s awesome. I can’t decide which end I prefer, it seems to just depend on my mood. I find the larger end to be slightly more rumbly, and the broad area it covers means that the vibrations really travel all through my pubic bone, it almost ‘thumps’ and ‘thuds’ me to orgasm, which sounds a bit brutal, but it’s fucking amazing! The smaller end is a bit more pinpoint, and so provides a different sensation, still amazing, still rumbly (although slightly less so) still very orgasmic! I have only used this end for internal stimulation, I could probably manage the larger end with a warm up, but for me I love how the smaller end just fits my anatomy perfectly. When inside, it relentlessly shudders my G-Spot into submission, and I don’t need any additional clitoral stimulation, like I find I need with some G-Spot vibrators.
CK adores this wand too. I won’t go into too much detail, because honestly, recalling our play sessions with it will have me getting a bit hot under the collar, but he enjoys it for perineum stimulation, and using it on the underside of his shaft, along his length and against the frenulum drives him totally wild! I’ve never had so much vocal appreciation from him when using a toy, the Swan drives him crazy!
The buttons can take a bit of getting used to, because to turn the wand off, you have to press both buttons simultaneously. At first I thought this was a bit weird, but I’m used to doing it now and kind of like knowing that it isn’t going to get turned off accidentally. It has no memory, but it’s super quick and easy to find the setting you want, so that isn’t an issue for me. I’m also really enjoying exploring the patterns on this, they’re great for building and teasing and just adding something a bit different to play. The wand also has a travel lock, so it’s perfect for travelling with, no more embarrassing suit case turn ons! This wand is never far from my reach now, in the shower, the bath, the bed … everywhere! It’s AMAZING!
The lovely folks at Lovehoney sent me the Swan Wand for free, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, this in no way alters my thoughts or experiences. You can pick up a Swan Wand here. Affiliate links have been used in this post.
