The Shocking Truth About Electro-Sex
By Carnal Queen.
Have you ever considered zapping your private parts in the name of pleasure? Or does the mere thought of it send you running for the hills? Thousands upon thousands of people really enjoy indulging in erotic electro stimulation (EES), but just as many, if not more, have no idea that electro-sex is even a thing, or are simply too intimidated to try it. This makes me sad, people! Electro-sex is freaking awesome, and I’m on a mission to let people know what they’re missing and to dispel any of those annoying myths that hold people back.
It doesn’t hurt – unless you want it to!
T’is true peeps … perhaps the biggest misconception out there is that e-stimulation is definitely going to hurt you. What a pile of steaming doo-doo that is! Sure, it CAN hurt, but most things can be made to hurt if you really put your mind to it. I know the thought of electrocuting yourself for pleasure can be a hard concept to get your head around initially, but trust me on this – unless you want it to, e-stim does not hurt! It stimulates your nerve endings, creating tingles and contractions that can be as gentle or as intense as you want them to be. Beginning like a light kiss from an angel, through to mildly uncomfortable, and right up to the body curling torturous sensations that make electro-sex a huge favourite for BDSM enthusiasts – with electro stimulation you’re in total control.
Is it TENS, in fancy dress?
Another popular fallacy is that electro-stimulators are just TENS units in disguise. TENS machines are medical devices, designed and made for medical purposes. E-stim units are designed and made for intimate, sexual experiences, with purpose built patterns and pulses, and electrodes specifically designed for that purpose. It’s really not a good idea to try and fashion something zappy out of a TENS kit you may have knocking around, you won’t feel the full benefit of what electro-sex can do for you. Invest in a proper product, that’s fit for purpose and that comes with full instructions and guidelines. Your intimate parts will thank you for it.
Safety first! Surely I’m just electrocuting myself?
People worry that electro-sex is unsafe in some way. That they’re gonna make their hair stand on end, like they’ve stuck their fingers in a socket if they try it- I totally understand these reservations, but honestly, electro stimulation products wouldn’t be thriving in the adult industry if people were keeling over left, right and centre, from using them, would they! Reputable companies make quality, safe products. They’re tested and come with all the necessary safety and quality assurance marks, so you know you’re in safe hands.
Great! So where do I start?
The reality of electro sex is just awesome. There are so many different types of products out there, with different sensations and rewards, that I genuinely think there’s something for almost everybody. Whether you’re looking for internal stimulation, or something to make your whole body tingle, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for.
If you’re wanting to stimulate your largest organ (your skin!), then the Kinklab Neon Wand is a fabulous piece to invest in. Unlike many other forms of e-stimulation, the wand can be used above the waist, so you can use it across your neck and nipples, as well as your genitals and anywhere else that tickles your fancy. It’s a very visual and erotic piece of kit, that comes with multiple electrodes for different sensations. It’s so much fun!
If you’re wanting to delve deeper into the awesome world of electro sex, then you won’t go far wrong with a unit from ElectraStim. ElectraStim products scream quality. You’ll need a stimulator unit to begin your journey, and the ElectraStim Flick EM60-E (review here) is a great choice. USB rechargeable, and arriving with 4 self adhesive stimulator pads, there’s fun to be had, and things to explore, straight out of the box.
But then where do you go? How do you expand your collection? Well, wherever and however you want to! There are no rules to follow, other than to make sure you have lots of fun along the way. There are so many electrodes that can be used in conjunction with the EM60-E, it’s just a case of personal preference. But since I love talking sex toys so much, here’s a couple of suggestions …
You can make your G-Spot sing with the ElectraStim Noir Ovid Electro G-Spot Dildo. Its beautifully smooth silicone body will feel wonderful in use, and the internal pulses will feel incredible. The Ovid can also be used anally, so if you want to explore the prostate with this electrode, then knock yourself out. Not literally, obviously.
For the lucky cock-clad folk amongst us, the Electrastim Jack Socket (review here) is in a different league, and will deliver hugely on the pleasure front. The first of its kind, the Jack Socket will take your masturbation sessions from boresome to awesome with ease. Feel the tingles with each and every stroke!
