Ouch! Luxury Whip Review
By Carnal Queen.
When it comes to impact play, there are lots of hitty tools to choose from, a whip to crops, paddles, with many different materials to tickle your fancy such as leather, wood, silicone etc. Obviously, different implements offer different sensations & levels of pain, but there will always be a place in my heart (and weapons cupboard) for the good old flogger!
Floggers generally sit at the tamer end of the pain scale. When you’re using something with multiple fronds to hit someone, you’re not going to be able to achieve that pinpoint ‘thwack‘, that say a good paddle will give you. That said, I absolutely adore floggers and I think that’s mainly down to their beauty and awesome versatility.
In ‘real life’ I’m a bit of a Magpie – anything sparkly grabs my attention immediately (my jewellery collection vouches for that!) and so when I spotted this 18k white gold plated suede flogger by Ouch! over on the Nice n Naughty website, I completely lost my shit, it had to be mine! I was really pleased to see the variations in colour that were available, and also the slightly more affordable copper handled version, but I opted for the classic white gold & black suede version. It didn’t arrive boxed, which I felt was a real shame because there’s no hanging loop on it, but the lovely folks at NnN sorted me out & sent me one – which made me a very happy bunny because I’m particular about my storage of beautiful things! Thanks guys!
When the whip arrived, it was love at first sight – it really is beautiful. Immediately I was hit by the lovely leather smell that emanated from it, and picking it up, I was greeted by the lovely weighty handle (approx 260gms) … it’s stunning. There’s not a mark out of place anywhere on the plating, and the base of the handle is adorned with 12 sparkly crystals, a blingy blingy hitty thingy!
I love how this flogger feels on my skin. No, it’s not a brutal impact device, but it’s amazing for sensory play. Letting the Carnal King run the 30+ fronds over my skin gently, letting it caress me & heighten my senses, not quite sure when he’s going to strike me with it … total fucking bliss!
I do find it leaves me wanting more, so we may move on to using something a little more capable of inflicting the pain I so desperately crave, but that’s ok, I like to use a variety of things during a play session anyway!
In the right hands, this really does feel amazing, but it’s something I would absolutely recommend to beginners, because you have the option to start out really gently and progress at a pace to suit you. The handle is gorgeous, & can be chilled or warmed in water to allow you to incorporate it into your sensory play. I mean, come on, just look at the shape of it, I’m sure you can think of a few creative things to do with it!
The RRP of this is rather high, at £120, but in the sale it’s a complete steal! (I paid £20!) So if you can grab one, I’d highly recommend it!
