Sliquid Smooth Mango Shave Cream Review
By Carnal Queen.
One of the main things that I really hate about being female is HAIR! I mean, I’m more than happy for it to live on my head, and my eyebrows and eyelashes are kind of essential to me too, but anywhere else? It can fuck right off! It’s a pain in the backside (literally), and because I’m naturally dark haired, it may as well announce it’s presence with a fanfare and fireworks – there’s just no hiding it. It’s a constant battle to keep it at bay, and because my pain tolerance levels are totally pathetic out of the bedroom (I’ve seen tougher six year olds!) then my chosen method of removal is shaving …
My lady garden has been as free from growth as the Sahara Desert for years, I don’t really know why or when I decided to go bare, but I did. For a long time, I suffered with shaving rashes and ingrowing hairs, and every product I tried just seemed to make it worse. I gave up – I decided to just use good old H2O, and I’ve not really looked back since. The rashes and the ingrowing hairs stopped, and whipping it off quickly with just some water and a blade became the ‘norm’. Although this seemed to be the best option for me, I did find that the skin around my vulva and pubic mound always felt a little dry – oh well, I guess you can’t have it all can you!
Or can you? I recently decided, after spotting it on Lovehoney, that I’d try the Sliquid Smooth Mango Passion Intimate Shave Cream. I’ve been using it a while now, and it’s actually really surprised me. Firstly, it smells heavenly! Just really fruity & light, not at all synthetic or overpowering. Secondly, my skin seems to really like it! It contains moisturising Shea butter, and Mango butter, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera extract … but it’s what it doesn’t contain that really matters. No Glycerin, Lanolin or Parabens, leaving you with a hypoallergenic cream that allows you to be beautifully moisturised whilst maintaining a close shave. It’s also suitable for vegetarians.
I kind of wished to begin with that it lathered a bit, but I know that to get it to do that would probably mean they’d have to add something crap to the ingredients list – shaving with a cream that doesn’t lather or foam takes a bit of getting used to, but now I have got used to it, it’s great! It takes me a few seconds longer to shave than it would if I just used water, but it’s worth it!
Seriously, if like me, your skin is quite sensitive, I’d really recommend you give this a try! Good old Sliquid 🙂
