Satisfyer Pro 2 Review
By Carnal Queen.
The launch of the Satisfyer Pro 2 was met with a lot of enthusiasm, and it really isn’t hard to see why. Suction type toys have become huge in the past couple of years, with the successful launch of the Womanizer W100 and the new W500 model, but they’re not without their flaws, and the Satisfyer Pro 2 is easily recognisable as a contender to knock the Womanizer off its top spot. I was very eager to get my hands on one, and the lovely folk at Satisfyer generously sent me a few units so that I could share the love, so huge thanks to them!
Anyway, on with the show! It would be impossible to write this review and not compare this to the Womanizer, so I’m not going to even try. I know a lot of you will be wanting that direct comparison when it comes to making a choice on which one would be right for you, so compare them I will. Firstly I’m a huge fan of the simple one colour design. When the W100 launched their choice of design was hugely questioned, as they favoured bold and gaudy patterns that made everybody cringe, but the Satisfyer Pro 2 is subtle with its rose gold finish. It looks classy and elegant. Yes, it still looks a little bit ‘medical’, but I don’t think there’s any getting away from that with a toy like this.
This is also waterproof, which is a feature that they didn’t even manage to get into the W500, which is a shame considering its price tag. Even if you’re not looking to take the toy into the bath with you, being waterproof makes it really easy to clean and that’s a huge bonus. I have to say though, I’ve really enjoyed been able to take this into the bath with me, and I think it’s something I’m going to continue enjoying doing. More on that later though! The battery life is sadly a bit naff on the Satisfyer Pro 2. The Womanizer holds its charge and keeps going for weeks on end, but this has only a 30 minute play time. I don’t really understand why it’s so different, it’s clear the technology is very similar, so you’d expect a similar performance. It’s a shame.
The buttons on this toy are really well situated on the back, naturally where your fingers want to sit. You have a simple on/off button and another, larger button, that changes the setting it’s on. With 11 levels of intensity, this toy is probably going to have a setting for everybody. From the bottom to the top there is quite a noticeable difference, however I found that going from one setting to the next, the difference in sensations is quite subtle. This actually annoyed me a little bit, but it’s something I’ve learned to live with. You see, when you cycle up to the top of those 11 settings, it begins to go back down the scale. So because I couldn’t always tell when I got to the highest setting, it sometimes meant I was accidentally making the toy less powerful during play. Disaster!
The noise levels from these suction type toys is very unique. If you’ve not heard it before, you’ll probably be a little bit surprised by the chugging noise they make. In the same way as the Womanizer’s, the Satisfyer Pro 2 makes far less noise the moment it makes contact with your body. It has the same kind of removable silicone head, although it’s a bit larger and more fiddly on the Satisfyer Pro 2. I would’ve liked to see a spare included to be honest, but I guess at the price this toy sells at, we have to expect compromises. Have I not mentioned the price? It’s actually a really big USP for this toy, because it retails at roughly half the cost of the W500 – that’s a huge difference, and one which could really see the Satisfyer doing very well indeed.
So, how does it feel in use? Pretty bloody fantastic! I really am a huge fan, but is it going to take over from my beloved W500? Erm, no it isn’t … I want them both! I was totally prepared to be writing this review and to be telling you which my favourite was, and which I’d recommend, but the reality is, for me it’s just not that simple. They produce very different sensations. In the same way that vibrator A isn’t the same as vibrator B, these sucky little devils have their own agenda.
On face value, my thoughts are that the Womanizer produces a sensation which is slightly higher in frequency. Now if that was a vibration, my body wouldn’t like it, but when it comes to this sucking sensation, it really does. My Womanizer orgasms come hard and fast, but with the Satisfyer Pro 2, they take quite a bit longer. I’m not talking hours, or even a great number of minutes, but they do take longer. Is that a bad thing? Well no, I don’t think it is. I absolutely love the fact that the extra time allows me to enjoy some penetration at the same time as the clit stimulation. As I recently mentioned in my Laid D.1 review, having a dildo inside me whilst this does its thing is amazing!
I’m also finding this sensation to be more of an actual sucking than with the Womanizer, especially as I reach my climax. I can feel my clitoris been gently sucked into the opening of the head as I come, and because the sensation isn’t overpowering, it means I can ride it out and experience longer and more satisfying orgasms. I don’t feel the need to have to kill the intensity of the stimulation as I tip over the edge, which is awesome.
As I mentioned earlier, playing in the bath with this toy is really good fun. Because I simply put it in place and let it go to work without having to thrust or move about, it means I can enjoy a nice relaxing climax in the haven of my warm bubbles. If I want to get the full-up feeling whilst I pleasure myself, I just pop a suction cup dildo to the side of the bath and impale myself on it. We have a corner bath with a stepped section, so this is really easy for me to do, and my legs don’t need to be hanging over the edge, giving me that drunken idiot look. Because that really isn’t a good look.
I love it, I really do. I’m really struggling to be able to recommend one over the other though, because I love them both. Womanizer or Satisfyer, they are both capable of producing some amazing stimulation, and they will both always have a place in my kit. I have to be realistic though, the price will be a huge factor for some people, and I can’t deny that the Satisfyer is amazing value. So if you want to know if this kind of toy is for you, you might want to start there!
Satisfyer very kindly sent me the Pro 2 for free, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, this in no way alters my thoughts or opinions. If you want to try this toy for yourself, you can grab one from Bondara here. Alternatively you can check out the full range of suction toys including the Womanizer range from Lovehoney here
