Fleshlight Quickshot Vantage Review
By Carnal King.
When you talk about male strokers, one of the first brands that comes to mind is Fleshlight. You can get them in all sorts of designs from moulds of pornstars to alien anatomy strokers – yes, someone apparently knows what alien parts look like! In the latter part of 2015 Fleshlight released a new line called the Quickshot. Basically they took a Fleshlight and made it into a smaller, more compact version. It does lose the torch like shape that the original and GO ranges have, but there is a reason for that. The line currently has 2 different models, the Vantage and the Boost. The main differences between the two is that the Boost comes in the traditional black casing with a metallic silver insert, and the Vantage (which will be the one detailed in this review) comes in a clear casing with a transparent insert, keeping in line with the Ice Crystal range.
They come nicely packaged in a blue, white and silver box with a cut-out window so you can see the Quickshot. That’s all there is in the box, no sachets of lube or renewer powder, like there is in some of their more expensive ranges. It can be a pain as it means you don’t have the convenience of having everything ready to go when you open the box, but it’s a mere snip of the price, at around £20, so you just need to remember to add some lube and renewer powder to your order, if you don’t already have some.
Now to the main event of this review, the Fleshlight Quickshot Vantage. Once I opened the Quickshot I was impressed at how light it actually feels, compared to an original Fleshlight. It’s only 192g compared to the 599g of the Ice Lady Crystal (uncapped), which I also own. This Fleshlight has an obvious difference to the other models in the range due to the fact that it’s opened ended, where Fleshlights are traditionally self contained. I took off both of the end caps and you are left with a stroker that is only 9cm long, with only around 5cm of casing in the middle to use as a grip. This is great if you have dexterity issues, and it’s also a great size if you need something a little more discreet to hide away from prying eyes.
Upon inspecting the textured insert it looks very similar to that of the stamina training range, lots of small bumps and ridges. The one thing that was extremely obvious was how sticky the Quickshot was straight out of the box, if this really annoys you, some renewal powder or some cornstarch will quickly remedy this, however I decided to leave it as it was and just lube up, which does get past the sticky problem also.
The Quickshot in use is incredibly easy and lightweight to manoeuvre and you can instantly feel the textured insert as soon as you enter it. As it’s only 9cm in length this adds a little flexibility to how you can use the Fleshlight. Long, full strokes will mean the head of you cock pops out the end and you can take full advantage of all the different textures, or you can use shorter strokes concentrated in one area, either on the head or the shaft. It can also easily be used either standing or lying down, which not all strokers are as easy to use in a variety of ways.
I really enjoyed using it the full length of my cock, but also slightly twisting it at the same time to create a completely different sensation and take full advantage of the texture. One thing that is worth mentioning is that I had to use a lot more lube than I expected with this, so you may want to keep it close by. Also, because of the extra lube, it can be a little more noisy, so if that’s a concern you have, you might want to add a couple of extra decibels on the stereo or the TV.
I really do like the see through aspect of the Quickshot Vantage, especially if your partner is involved as they can see every movement and stroke of your cock, which is an added bonus, I’m delightfully informed by CQ. I will point out though, because of the realistic feel insert it does need the renewer powder to take away that tackiness once it’s been cleaned, this does however mean that it’s no longer clear but more of a milky white colour, which you can still see through, but not as well, so take that into consideration if you or your partner enjoys a show 😉
So the real question is, did it do the job in hand for me? (yes that’s a deliberate pun). It certainly did! As I have previously mentioned in my Jack Socket review, I like to tease myself and build up the enjoyment before I orgasm, and with this little device you have complete control of that, so added bonus points there. A little something to think about is what to do when you’re about to climax, not top of everyone’s priority list I appreciate, but as the Quickshot is open ended it means you will be shooting your load out the end, and depending on your position, standing or lying down it could cause some mess that not everyone is always happy to deal with. Maybe stay away from that expensive carpet or 1 million thread count sheets that you love, as it could take the full blast.
Another added bonus of the Quickshot being compact is that cleaning is uber simple, all the components come apart and you can even turn the stroker inside out to make sure you get a really good clean. So with just some warm water and a few spritzes of toy cleaner you’re done. Also, because it’s open ended it dries way quicker than a traditional Fleshlight, so you can quickly powder it up, put it back together and it will be ready for action once again, whenever you need it. Just make sure it’s completely dry before you use renewer powder on it.
Overall I really enjoyed using the Quickshot and do think I will invest in the Boost just to compare the two, and hey why not add to the collection. I really do think they have a great place in the market of male strokers – yes a traditional Fleshlight has many different options and accessories, and for some will always be the go-to toy, but this also has a lot going for it – maybe you’re on more of a budget, it’s a great toy for around £20! If you’re someone who has dexterity issues or maybe even someone who travels more and needs something that’s a little more discreet but can still get the job done, this certainly ticks all the boxes.
I won’t be throwing in the towel on my other Fleshlights any time soon, as I said the extras mean they will always have a place, but this little stroker will certainly be making me think about my choice, when I come to which one to use!
