CQ has been writing sex toy reviews for many years under different pseudonyms, before finally setting up a permanent home here at Carnal Queen. Within our first year of launch, we were ranked 55th in Kinkly’s Top 100 Sex Blogs (worldwide), and we scooped the 3rd place in the Top New Sex Blogs of 2015, which we were delighted with. CQ writes in numerous places across the web, providing articles and content for well established websites besides Carnal Queen. Some of this is undertaken as a ghostwriter, so it’s possible you’ve read some of her work elsewhere, and didn’t even realise it.
The woman behind Carnal Queen …
I’m CQ and I’m a slightly bonkers Gemini, in her early 30’s, who’s based in the UK. My star sign is very relevant – because I’m very changeable. Not a split personality exactly, but catch me on a bad day and you might see a different side. Destined to always be a creative person, my love for anything to do with arts and crafts started at an early age. Writing has always been an avenue for me to let go and be myself, and something I’ve always enjoyed. Undeniably nosey, and always up for a laugh, a quick-witted response is never far from my lips!
I’m a self-confessed animal lover, and I live with my partner, CK, and our menagerie of furry friends. I pride myself on being loyal and honest, and my biggest downfall is taking things too easily to heart. I expect people around me to be straight up, there’s no time for mind games …
I met CK in 2006, after recently ending a very unhealthy and unhappy relationship. I genuinely felt like I’d never trust another man as long as I lived. He picked me up and showed me what it felt like to be in a truly loving relationship, and we connected in a way I never thought possible – he’s my soul mate, and I’m thankful every day that I found him. Some days, I know I simply couldn’t function without him … Put simply; he’s the reason I’m still here.
It’s in finding him that I’ve found true sexual happiness. I had quite a bad connection to sex, and he’s taught me so much about sex, and myself in general. He’s an incredible lover, and I’m very lucky! In no way do I claim to be a ‘Sexpert’ – I’m still learning and firmly believe that the learning process will never stop. Every day’s a school day.
I have a hugely varied and very large collection of sex toys; the development and advances in the adult industry keep my passion alive and me hungry for what is to come next!
I don’t bite (unless I’m asked to) so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or queries using the ‘contact me’ tab on the website.
I hope that you enjoy my work, and hopefully we can move forward and grow together.
